Once the concept was settled on we were asking ourselves, "Octopussy? Isn't that name already taken?". So we had to settle for a more direct approach to nomenclature.
Pete: This was an attempt to make a blatant piece of cheesecake. It's not my usual flavor, but that was the real inspiration behind it. I really don't usually volunteer to do sexy girly posters, so it was especially strange that I ended up developing the concept and directing this piece. I owe Em a big favor making her pull an all-nighter with me on this one.

xD this must've been rather tiring to make
i love the concept and the skin tones on the girl are amazinngg
good thing you guys worked on it a lot cause it turned out perfect ^^
The water/background looks really great - interesting character design, too. I really feel sorry for the squid, though - I think it is probably my favourite part of this piece (I do like all of the other stuff a lot, but much can be said for squids!).
The skin is truly glowing and the water is absolutely riveting! Not to mention the sky and the girl herself! ^^ You guys are just so incredibly skilled!
The only one little thing I noticed is that I'm kinda missing some droplets or something else to connect the woman to the surrounding wetness. ^^ Right now she's shiny, but don't look really sprayed with ocean water as one probably would, sitting where she is.
Maybe some extra added brighter highlights to some areas on the skin and metal would achieve a wetter look?
But this is only my own very, very subjective opinion. ^^
It IS a beautiful work of art as it is! And I SO wish I could come anywhere near your skill levels.
The way she is sitting on that octopuss is really suggestive, me like very much (sorry if I just have a filthy mind). O_O
You both did an amazing job. The colors are amazing and so rich. I really love the color of the octopus will all the deep grey-blues of the background and shadows. There is a lot of energy and motion in it.
